IBA
Municipal Solid Waste Incinerator Bottomash (IBA) is generated in Waste to Energy Facilities. The aim of recycling of IBA is to recover ferrous- and non-ferrous metals and to produce a clean aggregate. Non-ferrous metals are processed further and separated in heavy non-ferrous metals and light non-ferrous metals.
Automotive Shredder Residue
The shredding of automobiles results in a mixture of ferrous metals, non-ferrous metals and a mixture called Automotive shredder residue (ASR). ASR contains rubber, plastic, glass, fibers and still a small amount of valuable metals. The aim of the recycling is to separate the materials into products and to minimize the amount of material which needs to go to landfill.
E-Waste
End of Life (EoL) electronic devices and appliances are defined as e-waste, or Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) scrap. Through various collection schemes WEEE-scrap is recycled with the aim to recover valuable materials as metals and plastics.
Construction and Demolition Waste
Construction and demolition waste is generated when a building or structure is demolished after end of life is reached. The aim of recycling is to recover steel, aggregates, sand and cement.
